Leah's Zoo Theme Birthday Party
One happy little Zoo Keeper.
Here’s some truth for ya, I started this post literally 1 year ago but never finished it. Then it just kept creeping lower and lower on the draft list until it disappeared into the black hole of 2020. But if you are reading this, then you probably aren’t surprised nor are you bothered because you can probably relate. This is why I love this little space I created.
Even though it’s a bit late, it’s still no less exciting for me to share this incredibly fun Zoo theme party we threw for Leah Kate last year for her 3rd birthday! It was so much fun to plan this and put everything together. My mom threw super fun birthday parties for me growing up and now I get to team up with my mama to throw super fun parties for Miss Leah.
Check out all the photos from the party with details about each. Message me with any questions, I would love to chat all things party planning!
Made an easy backdrop with fabric and a cheap curtain rod. Balloon garland and a “Young, Wild and Three” Banner I bought on Etsy.
My amazing and incredibly talented friend Brook with Chalk the Walk created these super cute chalk drawings for our driveway and walkway!
Another cheap curtain rod, plus jute and plastic leaves and grass hot glued to the rope. So cute and we still have it up in our basement now.
Leah was SO excited when she walked out and saw all the animals!
All credit goes to Dave on this one. He made this and I absolutely LOVE it!! It was such a cool feature to her party. She has this in her playroom today still.
These are chalk paint paw prints! I was a little nervous to put this on our wood floors, but don’t worry, we tested it in a tiny corner in our pantry. It came up very easily. A stencil printable off of Pinterest and it was a huge hit!
Lemonade or “Monkey Juice” and water with lemons and limes or “Swamp water.” Moss pad from Michael’s underneath for a bit of a jungle feel.
These tiny zoo animals with the teeny tiny party hats might be my favorite little piece of the party. Amazon for the plastic zoo animals and Etsy for the teeny adorable party hats. Then I just hot glued them on the animals.
Adorable cookies from Be Sweet Omaha ( she is AMAZING) and I made the cupcakes. I gotta say, pretty proud of these guys. I was worried because decorating sometimes is not my thing but I’d call these a win. You can actually tell which animal they are! :)
You know you have a good friend when she shows u to your kiddo's party in a lion costume. It was SO good!
