Dark Chocolate Brownie Bites
I heard this morning that Hilton chefs are the ones that invented the brownie. That can’t be right. Right? Doesn’t that seem weird. Maybe I heard wrong and they actually invented the turtle brownie or something. I just like to think that the brownie was invented by some old grandma from the pioneer days. Not sure why, but it makes me feel better.
Speaking of brownies…excellent transition, I know. These are my favorite brownies!! Dark chocolate with chocolate chunks, super gooey and best of all…EASY!! You don’t even need a mixer, everything can be done in a large saucepan with a wooden spoon. See, pioneer grandma style.
I made these for the Wine, Women and Shoes event here in Omaha and then one of the co chairs messaged me after the event and asked if she could order some. They are always a hit, you gotta try them.

Dark Chocolate Brownie Bites
Lolo's Desserts | 2019
Ingredients:
1 cup Butter (2 sticks)
5 ounces, Unsweetened Chocolate
1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
2 cups Sugar
1 Tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
3 Large Eggs
1-1/4 cup Flour
3/4 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Powdered Sugar, For Sifting
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large saucepan, melt the butter with the unsweetened chocolate over low heat, whisking occasionally until smooth and melted. Sprinkle in cocoa powder and whisk until combined. Remove the pan from heat and allow to cool for about 5 minutes.
Stir in sugar and vanilla until just combined. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring after each egg. Gently stir in the flour until halfway incorporated. Add the chocolate chips and then stir until just combined. Careful not to overmix.
Pour batter into a greased 8 x 8 or 9 x 13 baking pan. (depending on how thick you want your brownies) and place in the oven.
Bake for 40 minutes, then check the brownies with a toothpick. If it is overly gooey/messy, return to the oven for 5 to 10 more minutes. Brownies will still look gooey, but will firm up as they cool.
Allow to cool completely, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into small squares. Enjoy!
