You get the juicy steak, the savory onions with a bit of char, the gooey cheese, the flavorful butter and then the crunch of the toasted baguette. It’s that perfect bite of so many good flavors and textures. I love it so much!

Ingredients:
1 lb Skirt Steak
1 Tablespoon oil
1 Tablespoon kosher salt
1 large yellow onion
4 slices Havarti cheese
1 French Baquette
Herb Butter
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1 Tablespoon dill
1 Tablespoon minced Garlic (3 cloves)
Instructions:
Make the Herb Butter: Combine the butter, garlic and dill and mix until all comebine and smooth consistency.
Make the sandwich: Slice the steak into thin strips. Place a large skillet on high heat and drizzle the oil.
Add steak to hot pan and sprinkle with salt. Cook until the beef is just cooked through, about 2 minutes. Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
Make the onions: Slice the onion into half moon shapes. Place then into the same skillet and saute until they are soft and get slightly golden. 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside with the steak.
Prepare Baguette: Slice baguette lengthwise. Spread the herb butter on both sides of the bread generously. Add steak slices and then onions. Then place the sliced Havarti cheese over top the steak and onions.
Keep the sandwich open facing and place in the oven under a low broil for about 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and gooey.
